 Hear a sample of Landrover
I remember when I was a kid my dad bought an old 60's Landrover from his buddy in Weed, CA. We towed it all the way home, my dad making me watch the hitch the whole way because it was a little loose.
My mom: "You know I always wanted to put a huge piece of junk in my front yard."
So started the "Landrover" saga.
And you know, the car never ran right. I remember we went for a drive to see the movie "Das Boot," and we had to push it a few times when it stalled.
When he died, it sat on the side of the house for about a year before we sold it. I wanted to keep it and fix it up, but at 13 there's not many options for keeping a foreign jobby like that maintained. We sold it to a guy who fixed Greyhound buses for a living.
Still, it has mostly happy memories in that old thing. Years later, I bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler to satisfy my need for Jeepin.' I think it all started with the Rover.
