Okay, so a song for my mom appears on a record for my dad. It makes perfect sense to me to honor her with my favorite song on the record-she filled in as a father several times in my childhood.
After my father died, we decided to do something crazy and go visit my brother who was stationed in Europe. We saw him first, and then ventured out on our own using Europe's great train system.
It was wonderful to see my mom enjoy herself throughout Europe. It was a spectacular trip. About 2 weeks on vacation while in Geneva, Switzerland, we all needed a little bit of grooming and personal attention. My mother went and got a haircut, and they gave her a European-style 'high and tight' hair cut that made it hard to even recognize her.
Instead of Joan of Arc, she became "Joan of Geneva," and we still call her that today, 20 years later.
That was a great trip.
