JIMMY AT THE PINNACLES
Hear a sample of Jimmy At The Pinnacles
I wish everyone could meet my brother Jim.
He's the rugged outdoorsy type. The kinda guy that doesn't get lost in the forest much-which makes the trip to The Pinnacles National Park pretty funny.
I was about 23 when I bought my jeep. Right after my brother asked me if I wanted to come down in it and hike The Pinnacles, near Monterey, CA. Of course I said sure, and made my way down.
California gets kinda hot, and typically a hike in the desert in 100+ heat can be a bad idea.
About halfway up the mountain we became severely dehydrated and decided to head back down to find water. Why did we not bring water? Good question.
We were about to break into a trailer at the base of the hill when I noticed a water spigot near the campsite. I think we drank more than our body weight. We had a pretty good laugh about it, and I still smile when I think of my brother about to bust open a trailer window with a large rock.
I've had many great and happy memories with my brother Jim. In many ways he was a surrogate father, and I was lucky to have him around while growing up.
